julia keesler
Actor & artist
Julia’s biggest accomplishment to date is writing, producing and starring in her own work. She wrote her first short film Follow, If I Can, currently in post production (as of May 2023) which explores the relationship between two young women and the hardship and ultimate sacrifice they face in choosing their own path in Early 1800’s England. Previous credits include lead role in psychological thriller titled Twine directed by Scott Bolger and an action sci-fi thriller titled A Farewell Transmission directed by Cameron Strittmatter, both films she does her own stunts in. She has also booked multiple commercials for well known names such as HomeDepot and Chegg Study and notably Indeed.com where she worked with director Elegance Bratton.
Hailing from North Carolina but raised a military brat, Julia is a real sci-fi/fantasy geek and romantic, enjoying shooting her long bow and hosting dinner parties so she can woo her guests with her home-made sauces and crush them at role playing strategy board games. She recently started her own small business called Musea Study designing and making sculpture candles inspired by both classical and modern art as a means to work with her hands and keep her inspired through studying the masterpieces of other artists. Currently, she is studying online at The BGB Studio based in LA with Shane Connor whom she adores. Previously, she studied with the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C under Helen Hayes award winning actress Naomi Jacobson and attended conservatory at the T. Schreiber Studio & Theatre in NYC and studied under the late Emmy Award winning director Peter Miner.
Her tribe is among creatives who have a passion for interpreting culture, creating fantastical worlds, and caring for people through the honesty and beauty of their craft. That kind of magic brings Guillermo del Toro, Peter Jackson & Greta Gerwig to mind.
